Yashvi Shah has been practising as a reputable and passionate Lawyer for 10 years, after being admitted as a Solicitor in the Australian Capital Territory in 2013 and achieving a post graduate Master of Laws degree from the Australian National University in 2015.
Yashvi's areas of specialisiation in Criminal Law include running all Local Court defended Hearings, Sentences, Bail Applications and appearing at District Court Appeals and Sentences. She has acted for a wide range of clients in hundreds of summary matters, indictable and instructing Counsel in strictly indictable proceedings in all jurisdictions for high profile cases in the Supreme and District Court of NSW, not limited to Murder, Manslaughter, Sexual Assault, Child Sexual Abuse, Armed Robbery, Professional Misconduct, Break & Enter and Drug Supply/Importation charges throughout Australia.
Yashvi is a well sought Advocate and has successfully conducted hundreds of Defended Hearings herself and has a reputation to uphold her successful track record, She represents both the Defendant as well as undertaking matters to act for the PINOP in an ADVO independently and she appears in private AVOs too. Yashvi is able to appear for clients in all States and Territories, and has networked professional relations with the well renounced, top Barristers, both Junior and Senior Counsel in criminal law and civil law proceedings.
Yashvi was invited as a guest speaker at TEDx Youth Sydney in 2018. She also became inhouse Counsel in a high profile extradition case in London, UK in 2019. Yashvi holds merit in her thriving track record in Court as Yashvi is the only Gujarati female Court Advocate in the Criminal jurisdiction in NSW.
